In this course, we will be covering the fundamentals of FANUC robotics and
preparing students for a gateway into the manufacturing industry. This course will consist
of lectures, lab exercises, worksheets, demonstrations, and a multitude of tests.
Students will be operating FANUC industrial arm units and programming the robots.
Objectives of the Course:
A. Demonstrate knowledge of internal robot safety devices and functions
B. Identify teach pendant features and functions
C. Demonstrate knowledge of axis configuration and functions
D. Perform various startup methods
E. Jog the robot using the teach pendant
F. Identify common keys in the teach pendant
G. Identify basic error and fault recovery techniques
H. Create various robot programs
I. Program inputs/outputs
J. Program macros
K. Backup and restore individual system files
