EKG Technician

The EKG Technician program prepares students to gain knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, anatomy and physiology; demonstrate an understanding of the soft skill expectations of an allied healthcare professional; become familiar with healthcare settings and the role of the EKG Technician; understand the responsibilities related to performance of electrocardiograms, application of Holter monitors and assistance with stress testing; appreciate the importance of patient care and monitoring related to arrhythmias; and grasp the importance of customer services, communication skills and professionalism.
