Growing and Accessing Healthy Food - The Edible Flint Way

Section Number : 47
« back to classes page

When community members and organizations
saw the decline of healthy food access in our area, they knew they had to do something! Listen as Lauralyn shares how community conversations led to collaborating on healthy food access, productive reuse of vacant land, economic opportunities and education around local food systems. Individuals and institutional partners worked together to form the Edible Flint organization, a nonprofit. This program
is meant to inspire us ALL to grow healthy foods and reconnect with the land.
